We had had a great and fun time dining at Rasa Sayang Spa and Resort
where the lovely staffs from the Spice Market brought out the specially picked cake and sang birthday song together with us.

I've just realised it has been 6 years since I was away and to get together with family to celebrate these festive.

Mother's Day at The Sire Museum, also known as House of Yeap Chor Ee

situated along the King Street, downtown of Penang.

Dining in the restaurant brought the memories back when Chinese settlers came to Penang.

The antiques displayed and interior designs were captivating.

Food wise, the entree and mains are just average

Although I do recommended the dessert, walnut brownies.

The not too dense and sweet texture of the cake accompanied well with the side ice cream as well as the berries compote.

A coffee session with dad ended up by him bringing me over to the Australian board of tourism cocktail event.

April's been recognise as the month for world autism awareness.

So the doc from clinic send a text to me wanting me to give a 20mins lecture on "Does diets matter in Autism".

Uh huh!! Lou got herself into another huge challenge/phobia of her lifetime...

Public speaking...this time as a specialist,a nutritionist.Furthermore, followed by a question and answer sessions between the crowds and the team.

Working with these experienced specialises whom accepted & invited me to join in this team,really taught me to humble myself among them.

Me as to comparison to them was pfffff...not even in a level of 1 regarding to experiences, status and more..

The whole event went well with great responses from crowds, more than what's been expected,where room was immersed with audiences.

My sincere gratitude and gratefulness to all family and friends who supported and encouraged me. Amazingly, auntie Julia was praying for me (w/o knowing when I'm supposing lecturing) during the exact time which I was presenting;without knowing it.

God is just so wonderful and amazing!!

Life's been delighting ever since graduated from Otago. Many alumnus friends once told me that time span in university was more funner and cruising,yet, I find it the other way round. So, not everyone is the same *wink

Nevertheless, been & still cannot stop give thanks and praising to our gracious Heavenly Father for guidance in every single step of mine from graduating from Otago to jobs. HIS astonishing leading was indescribable.

Two roles been offered to me even before I graduated, as a full time supervisor in an American based homeschooling ; a part time child nutritionist in a clinic,with a team of specialist. The 1st job's pay was way beyond my expectation which my mentors had to 'force' me to sign the contract in a good way since I told them that am not worthy for such a good pay, not to say I am still a fresh graduate; same saying for the clinic, in consequence working with a team of experienced,well trained professionals and the doctor (boss) was so kind enough to offer me this opportunity and take me in to work with his team.

Concurrently, I have been invited to give a 20 minutes lecture on "Nutritional Therapy for Autism Children" as a celebration for Worlds Autism Children Day on April 25th in front of Penang expo (the parliaments). YES, my heart's thumping like the roaring thunder even for just typing about this.... You peeps who's known me well knew this is not the typical me who will speak in front of the public.

And it is NOT weird at all for someone who enjoy his/her work.

It is true that I've always look forward to go to work every morning. Days at work surely fill with new,interesting and exciting adventures by the kids. Mind you, kids mentioned here are ranging from as young as aged 6 to young adults. It's not just about a supervising job but subduing time to bond with them, thus more than that.And yes, the outcome just drifted away all those efforts and hard work harvested where some eventually approached and trusted me for a one to one heart talk; guidance and advices.Although there were chaotic and turbulent days as well but looking everything in whole always put a smile on me. I still feel blessed for being able to work under the guidance of the two principals, also my mentors which had had enforce and rebuilt my character and maturity.

Enough of all works stuffs...

Here are some latter errands around penang, the only free weekends I have with family.

Merely, today's relationships were drenched with short termed, attracted by physical appearances where the fittest survived as well as the thirst for 'being in loved' .

This process has always been recycled over and over again.

Men are always practical by showing their affections or interests directly.Sometimes, through their gestures,body language and eyes contacts.

'That look', which he has says it all. He tends to give you a look even though he is across the room. Regardless if it is just a sweeping,from your head to your toes but tend to cut off eye contact if you're looking towards him;If a man is really serious about a female, he will look for a chance to gaze at her even when she is not looking.

Either at work or out, when a guy gives compliments in any respects of appearance,anything like, "You look nice today," "I like that shirt," or even "Did you do your hair differently today? It looks nice," are all indicators that he could be interested in you. Most guys won't notice, and if they do, they won't say anything unless they're into you.
Topping it up,if you are well a happy and fun-loving person, there is no reason why he won't like you.

Ladies,know this...
Men can meet a women they have no attraction to, get to know her, fall in love, and be totally into her. But the process works opposite for women, we tend to be illogical sometimes.

Perhaps the most frustrating thing about trying to figure out male attraction is wondering if he is romantically interested, or just regards the woman as a good friend or even worst, not interested. Usually it is either one thing or the other, and a sure sign that the relationship is only platonic from his point of view is if he discusses his interest in specific other women.

For example, you tried several texts and calls but He doesn't replied. He did not loose your number and he isn't too busy. Even the busiest person will make time for someone they care about. Men are not stupid, so on the off chance he did loose your number, he would find a way to get a hold of you if he wanted. When a person is interested in you, he/she would try to know loads about your likes and dislikes. He would ask you questions about your hobbies and family. Well, it is also true that certain men take time to open up.
From this state of point, you just have to be the judge whether decide if he's just the one who worth your amount of time and how long are you prepared to wait to know if he is really interested in you or categorized in 'Hi-Bye Friend' list.

The foundation is the essential key for healthy relationships (mind you, this includes friends,family and romance), it takes time and efforts to built; Thus, allowing to enjoy the true and sincere intimacy with the ones you loved.There is no wrong answer being single and you do not get lonely just because you're not dating anyone. You would have missing out many others opportunities knowing a person once dated.

So, that's 1 of the reason Lou doesn't date at the moment(for friends who are curious if I would date anytime soon) but confess likes men! They're masculine, competitive, adrenaline pumping, power and domination and hot being.It whips my mind when it comes to men with good courtesy and a heart for everyone/thing around him; surely of course, tough appearances with mighty heart will make Lou blazing!!Wait... they also come in different sizes,shapes,colors,backgrounds and races.

Hence, I will consider dating once I meet a worthy guy and if I am meant to be with someone, he won't need any of those horsefeathers 'hard to get' girls games .

Slightly because of tiredness, i would love to stop writing now...

It was a wholesome saturday which I began my morning with Visiting handicapped orphanage around Bukit Mertajam.

It was not a grandest or luxuries place compare to any others centre around pg/bm area but we were greeted with the most warmest and naive smiles and joy from the children.

Many were blind with some abused or even being taken advantages due to their mental disorders; the parents abandoned them in front of the centre while they were still newborns.

Yet, being able to accompany and feed them seemed to overshadow all the pasts.

Aunt even danced with one of them and cheered with them.

Aunt bought a new barbecue stand so there were 4 of us ended up fixing and putting it together for an hour long; took almost 2 hours to put on the fire....

2010's January been a busy month,

with two work on weekdays/sat, meetings

a decor assignment on hand.

Working at Pinang ACE,

side by side with

auntie Julia and uncle Clement,

really is indescribable.

My days working are filled with beaming smiles and joy,

where cheekiness and some funny kids always make me laugh out hard, in heart

(mind you, have to keep my serious outer appearance as a supervisor).

All kids are special and unique,

interesting in catching up with them everyday.

On the other hand, decor assignment for CNY in church's almost complete.

Many thanks to Lim and his team from Floralscence for willingness to put up all decorations in a rush and short notices. Friendly and funny staff as well!! Well done!

The Beginning of a brand New Year

So far, the beginning of 2010 is fill with new excitement and challenges.

I believe this new year will be a different one, where I finally am off from most studies papers and starting career journey, mostly surrounded by children.

God's in command and all of HIS plan and timing are so perfect!!

Although it's the very last day for Year 2009,

Everyone seems to get used of every seconds they possibly can.

Been invited to attend family/childhood friend's wedding which really opened wide my view, it was indeed an unique reception with all relatives flying over four corners of the globe to attend this special wedding of Ying Ying and Chris. Families and friends from the States,Turkeys, Hong Kong, Medan,India and of course,Chris's parents and relatives from Poland. Such a beautiful and heartwarming ceremony when the young couples exchanged their vows in front of all close families and friends. Regrettably, had to leave the reception early due to traffic reason for the year end service in church.

Both sisters agreed to accompany mom on this very special night,

although we did spent out 'a bit' for this occasion.

The New 2010 Year was indeed a special one,

where my most closet and loyal Junny's no longer with me anymore,

a new career journey ahead, fascinate with challenges and excitement.

Everyone who approached me been asking me how do I feel,

In good faith and most fully,

I knew that my being adventure will be a beatific and endowed one,

For HE who had promised & I entrusted my all in Him.

It was a brief short holiday yet worthy trip back to Penang.

With the sun basking all day and set around 7 in the evening, life's still busy and lot's of happening until the midnight on this tiny island.

Out and about,day and night almost everyday..

Dine on scrumptious meals with family, shopping with sister and mom, bowling,been to a factory clearance sales with family TWICE in a day and countless more...woooo, watching the making of the 14 inch 'you tiao' along Air Itam and of course,tasting it. Realised how much i miss my family and comfort back home.

Can't believe how time just passes so quickly

The town was in hectic today,buzzing with many many two legs, doing their last minute shopping on Easter eggs and bunnies. The boutique stores were filled with females.

Anyway, on the other side of the world, it's hanami season in japan.

Spunky wanted to give thanks again,to everyone around whom had made her 23rd birthday a joyful and memorial.

Believe it or not, she had smiles in her sleeps before, on and after the 4th.

Not to mention, the most beautiful gift that the Lord Father had given her this year with privileges and blessings to able to enjoy the experience.

The tea party turned out great, with many friends commented on the grand venue and of course, sharing it with her friends which she cherished every single seconds.

Was yet prouder when i browsed online reading the New Straits Times,

I managed to survive the 1st half of the crazy 2nd semester.
With HUGE assignments due at once before the break, our group were like meeting at 8am each morning and til 11pm when the sirenz of the library sound.

Although it's just a week break, but I'll definitely treasure every single seconds that i have.
Been realised how days by days passed...
The planet still turning with ppl rise and fall,in mourn and in joy...

There are so many things that suddenly i want to do...
so many that i had actually start writing it down in a new bought journal.

Every winter when i visited Queenstown, it just took my breath away..The view was different all time long. Although i didn't really appreciate the living expenses over there, believe me or not, I'd talked to locals that one got to have an average of 3 jobs to cover the expenses.

I have 3 days for just mainly myself which i went out to Dart stable in Glenorchy to ride. The view in Glenorchy was even amazing, which made me understand why Peter Jackson chose to film LOTR and also the filming of Narnia,the Prince Caspian. I was on the River Wild ride where I have the opportunity to canter and trot over the river which the water from the melted snow came right up to Butler, a star in the 3rd episode of LOTR where he was one of the horses of the Rohan.Also,riding past the where Isengard castle ground shooting place.

The second day, i continued my riding in Paradise.I was on the spot where Caspian met the drawfs and blew the horn,the river where he ridden on the beautiful black Friesian. Yet, again, I was so lucky to be on one of the horses which was in the LOTR as the Rohan horses,Sam, a beautiful charcoal black stallion. I think both of us (Sam and me) had the 1st click,although I was given Sam,the name of the horse I was going to ride but I had no idea which one was him. While I was waiting others to mount on their horses, I was connected straight away with that particular one,standing just like 10 feet from me and he looked straight to me too.I walked up to him and gave him a good old rub before i went back to my post. Then later, Eric, the Austrian guy whom was so funny led the horse up and yelled out " who's riding Sam?! " Believe me,at that moment I was like leaping up high. Indeed, he was a real nice horse and the biggest of all 10. Eric told me that I was a brave little lady enough to ride on Sam.

3rd day,went to the Shotover stables, which i was given to ride on Rocky,a real big horse too.A very cute one as well where he stick his tongue out while having a drink by the river due the water was freezing. I was the only one who signed up for the morning ride so both me and Symore,the German guide rode along the bushes and river. I love morning rides where all the bushes and plats were covered in frost and white...so pure and untouched. With just the hooves beats of the beasts and their snoring breath condensed into the frosty air.

To celebrate or not?!

Interestingly, I was just discharged from hospital late last night the day after the trip back from queenstown..hooray?!

I have never ever felt so miserable and shocked in my life before, my body started shivering in the noon, i mean real shivering where i couldn't even stand up, Peter hurried drop me to the emergency clinic which later the temp raised over 40 Celsius with my limbs swollen and became REAL yellow. The doctor over the clinic thought it was serious enough that they called in st john ambulance to transfer me to the hospital. I couldn't even stand properly when they asked me to shift onto the wheel chair and up to the ambulance so the st john staff had to carry me.I believe my whole body just gave up at that time,it's just so weak...I couldn't even sit up on the bed which i kept leaning backwards..

The worst things were i can't even speak or put words in sentences. The staffs asked me what the day and date for today..I was ....like 'I don't know'. My both hands were stuck in with needles and i emptied 3 bags full of fluids in like 2 hrs. I was lucky enough that all the staffs attended to me were so kind and friendly,humorous in a way too. Every staffs that walked in the room will probably asked me some silly questions 1st like what's my name,where do i live, what am i doing here in NZ.Peter and Mary stayed by myself almost half day long which i really really am so touched.

I'm allowed to be at home now,with panadols every 6-8 hrs for 48hrs and 2 litres of fluid per day and was not allowed to work or study till i fully am recover. hoho!

Free from books and notes for now!

Anyhow, the nose bleeding manage to caught on me again this time of year but,luckily exams were ovah. If not, the marker will be having trouble to scatter through the "red ink" to find my writings. Been rearranging and packing up my room for my new life and future, whenever i bend over to pick up stuffs, it drizzled out..gravity,maybe?

Life's full with challenges that one will never ever imagine it'll search the way to you someday,& yes, it happened to be me but i didn't complaint instead just keeping myself in a low key like i always did. Trying to prevent the worst situations that might come up with, so i chose to surrender.My nature as being a person who tend to slip away while letting the love ones or friends to shine out as i stand behind their shadows. Is it good or bad,i don't know.

But, still I'm enjoying every bits and pieces of my life since no one knows what will happen next. Schedules for year end's almost fill where chyi's visiting to pg (hopefully), then down to kl to attend a wedding followed by me n lil sis going to korea visiting sandra jie and living as a korean then to Osaka. Geez, I'm almost near to the mid 20's soon...how quick time had past.
I'd a goal by allowing myself a 2 and a half years to 3 years time to get everything set and ready to start a totally different new level of life. If only God allows me to live that long, lol!

Peter brought home a box of BACI PERUGINA on his way back from conference in Surfers for me.

Speaking about baci,both chyi and larry were sooo kind enough to help when i asked for a favor to find this pralines when they were out from DUD. Sadly, they were ain't to be found in store nationwide!!
